Is all that stuff really necessary. My gear for flipping and pitching: 6’7” 13 fishing omen black med-heavy/fast action casting rod Abu Garcia Revo X baitcasting reel(6:6:1 gear ratio) 12 pound seaguar invisx fluorocarbon

  9. I’ve been to my local pond several times to catch some stocked trout. Every single time I go I can’t catch anything at all. I honestly don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’m using rooster tails, panther martins, mepps aglias, and kastmaster and not even a single bite. I’m using a medium speed to reel them in. I use powerbait in the garlic, corn, and salmon egg scent on a Carolina rig with a 2 ft leader with a size 8 hook. I use 6 pound monofilament. Can someone pls tell me something to help me I really need help.

  13. I’m gonna go fishing at a stocked pond in a few days and I bought 2 pound Berkeley vanish fluorocarbon. Is this too light. I usually fish for trout with powerbait and in-line spinners.
  14. I’m gonna go fishing at a local stocked pond and the only kastmaster size I have is 1/4 ounce. I’m asking this because I know everyone pretty much uses the 1/8 ounce size and they say it’s the best size.
  15. This week I am going to go to a local pond for some stocked trout. I am going to use power bait on a Carolina rig. For the leader can I use 12 pound fluorocarbon. The fluorocarbon I have is seaguar invisx.
  16. I’m gonna go to the half moon bay jetty next week. My dad is gonna be crabbing and I wanna do some fishing. I don’t have a saltwater rod or reel like a 9 foot rod or a size 4000 reel. I have an abu Garcia Blackmax reel spooled with 30 pound braid and I have a 6ft6 medium heavy abu Garcia vengeance casting rod. Will these be ok to use for rockfish or cabezon?
  17. The pond is 15 feet deep and it has some weeds
  18. I heard that spoons can be a great largemouth lure. Can I use a one ounce spoon because that’s the only size I have. This is cause I usually go striper fishing.
