Dumb question...

OK. When you buy soft plastics like senkos, powerworms and such, do you leave them in the bag or put them in a plastic utility box. Reason why i'm asking is because a bunch of ziplock style bags seem to take up take up more space.

I try to order my plastics factory direct in bulk 50-100; I dived them into 25's, place them into zip-lock baggies & store them in an ole school Plano worm box. Once on the lake I select the color I want to throw and if it produces I'll put a 25 pack on the boat console.

I always keep them in the original bags.  The different scents and colors bleed/combine and sometimes different brands will mix into a glob of sticky melted plastic!

The Easy View Tackle system is perfect for guys who like to leave there stuff in the bags.

I'll second that.  The easy view is great... especially if you are not very organized... there are always your favorites right there.  I keep my favorite/most used colors in the easy view and the rest in soft side worm bags until I need them.  For example, I usually have the easy view loaded with about:

5 colors Zoom lizards

5 colors sweet beavers

4 colors fat Ika

5 colors super flukes

2 senko

2-3 baby brush hogs

I usually have a couple bags of the colors I'm using in the windshield or on the deck.

Before I got the easyview, I used a little tupperware container for my most used stuff and before that it was a tiny duffle bag about the size of a shoe box.

Please remember one small(?) consideration. Not all plastic boxes and bags are

plastic bait friendly. Especially some plastic boxes...

Most of my soft baits are left in the bags and stored in large, one compartment Plano waterproof strorage boxes.  There is a box for each bait type.

The rest of my soft baits are out of the bag and stored in the small Planoi waterproof containers.

Of course, I have a lot of space in the boat for boxes.

Has worked well for several years.

its a good idea if possible for you to keep them in the factory bag. the reasons being with most baits the salt and smell of the bait is kept in the bag so if you take them out they are less salty and have less smell and reason 2 some baits need that sealed bad due to drying out. the factory bag is made to keep your bait moist and covered in the "lubricant" they were made with. in other words if you keep them in the bag they last longer and will have more scent salt and in return be more productive

I used to leave them all in the original bags, but it started to take up alot of space so I bought the BPS worm binder. This thing is awesome. Cheap money too, $5.99. Fit's all my trick sticks, Brush Hogs, Tubes, Flukes etc...
