Who else is ready for March 1 and the beginning of trout season? I started using powerbait eggs (white) with 2 or 4 pound test and no splitshot or weight. 2 of them on a small size 10 or 12 hook. The float on top and the fish just love them.

I can't do the trout parks. They're so crowded, so many inconsiderate people, all for some tiny little trout. Last time I went, they couldn't leave a micro jig under a bobber alone, no need for powerbait. Of course every time I'd catch a couple I'd have someone in my back pocket all the sudden. 

What you need is a big bass crank bait to cast over everyone and retrieve. That would get some quick eye rolls. lol

The live cams are as close as I'm getting to get to one of those trout parks.

Every once in a while a person may catch a large trout, but going out and battling the crowds, and cold for a dink isn't my thing.  If I want to catch dinks I can go down to the local lake at the park.

They stock double digit size trout in a lake an hour from me every spring and a minimum of 400 over 4lbs. I get my trout fix that way without standing shoulder to shoulder with someone trying to cast a fly rod.
