Can ElaZtech be stored on a jig head in the original bag they came in? If so, can they be stored with the other Elaztechs in the bag?

I have wondered this, too.  Once you glue them on, they are there, or so it seems.  But they do contain salt.  Maybe a Midwest finesse fisherman will chime in.

I have a finesse TRD tied on at least one of my rods every time out, and usually use the Zman finesse jig head (I flatten the bait keeper that sticks out on the hook down and use super glue to attach the plastic to the jig head) .  I have no issues storing them back in the bag they came in with other Zman plastic.  Although the only reason I will take a jig off is to switch to a different weight jig or if the hook is damaged - which rarely happens; also, I crimp the barb down on all hooks.

The finesse TRD plastic works better the longer it's used as all the salt gets washed away and the more beat up it gets, the more porous it is.  I have caught over a hundred fish on one piece of plastic; which was really beat up but kept catching fish.

I will add that I usually make sure the plastic is dry before I put it back in a bag.

From my experience, i dont reccomend leaving them on the hook. I did that on one of mine and it rusted the hook, to the point it made it weak and broke on the hook bend instead of straightening out like normal. 

 

Since then i dont use superglue on mine, i just push it down a bit more, almost over the head and the hook keeper works better on its own.

This was my concern. I've had other hooks rust if the plastics were left on and I'm wondering if it's the fault of the plastic or they weren't dry enough when I stored them

Not for long because they rust hooks fast and will turn the whole inside of the bag nasty. If you use a hook with a wire keeper there is no need to glue them or store them on the hook.

The hook rusting issue seems to be entirely dependent on what exact hook is used. I have had some where the hook up really rusted through to the point where I could snap it off with my fingers but I've had other rigged Neds that are literally years old with no sign of rust if I push the plastic out of the way and examine the hook.  

 

I keep my rigged Neds in a plastic and foam fly box, with a couple of z-rust tabs thrown in there. 

I usually pre rig about 10-15 ned rigs with a variety of Z-Man baits glued onto jigheads in an original Z-Man bag with no issues. The longest I've stored them is about 1 year with no issues.
