I just came across this.  Was wondering how it looks when rigged?  Does the hook point bury in the tube and make it weedless?

Nope,it's not made to be weedless.It's just a simple slide in jighead.

The shank is going to come out the bottom of the tube.  Buy with the wide gap and the flat section just before the barb you'll be able to skin hook the point. So yeah it will be weedless-ish

Actually this tube is rigged weedless if you put the insert in texposed.  This tube is actually the tube that Terry Mcwilliams took 4th place in the Bassmaster classic with.  He worked his way up through the federation last year with this tube. I honestly think a tube is a tube, but he is a tube slingin you know what.

Being from central Indiana, I run into Terry at some shows and lakes now and then.  Yes, he is a bigtime tube user and this is is favorite rig for throwing tubes.  No way to really describe the rigging in a post, but I've seen him rig it and it is quite weedless.

There are a lot of jigheads out there made to rig a tube weedless.  I personally prefer a plain ol' EWG hook, 4" tube and a sliding sinker, but the jigheads will work just fine if you like jigheads.

BTW - That jighead is a Bite-Me Series 300E jighead, in case you wanted to know.

Im not big on tubes but when i fish them i use almost the same idea as in the pic only difference is the weight on my jig head is longer not as ballish
