Has anyone installed one of these?

Featured Replies

Has anyone installed one of these? I haven’t found any videos online. I think I’ve got some water running in through my bulge pump out. I’ve heard these fix the problem but not sure where or how to install. Boat is a  2016 tracker 190 txto

Interesting piece of hardware.  Pretty sure it just splices in behind your pump, there is a little arrow showing direction of flow, you'll want to point that arrow to the outflow side.

As long as it can handle the GPH your bilge pump is putting out.  I can't see where your bilge pump out should ever be underwater or even get enough backwash to put water in your bilge.....

It's a check valve. Allows water to flow in only one direction. Where is the bilge pump outlet? It should be above the waterline.

It is above the water line but when the back of the boat gets heavy, like when a bigger guy is back there with a full live well and the water is rough I believe some water splashes in. I’ve talked to other tracker owners and it seems to be a some what common problem.

Trying to upload a pic but it’s too big

Are sure it is not coming over the transom?  I know if I am rough water and not careful in shutting done from speed, I will get a little water over the transom in the bilge.  And it really comes over in rough water if I goose it too much in reverse.

After talking to other guys with the same boats I’m almost positive it’s coming through the bilge pump out. I’m going fishing Friday and Saturday. No chance of rain so I’m thinking of plugging it and keeping an eye on it just to be sure.

I usually come off plane pretty easy and the only time I give it much gas in reverse is backing off the trailer when I’m by myself. I probably shouldn’t worry about it but when I pull the plug and I get a little water it aggravates me lol

Fished Friday had some water come in the boat. Had a few gallons come out after pulling the plug. Fished a tournament Saturday and it was bone dry lol. Idk what’s going on
