Another YUM Pulse fan here, my favorite thing about that bait is I can hang it beside the kayak running 4 or 5 mph and it'll stay down due to the ribs acting almost like a lip.  They're my slow roll swimbait of choice for their price, thump, and their ability to stay down.

 

I'm also a huge fan of the Big Bite Baits Dean Rojas Cane Thumper.

I keep reading this thread title as “small swimbait shootout” and it inspired me to order a few of the different ones mentioned in this thread that I haven’t tried yet. I am going to have my own small swimbait shootout. 

For me the Cabela's swimbaits are the best out there. You should also try the 5" version of the Cabelas swimbait with a Gamakatsu 5/0 EWG belly weighted hook. It's the best rig of this kind I've ever used.

Yeah I'm going to definitely try out their 5" after using these.

One of the most underrated baits out there. Amazing action, outstanding colors.

Guess I have to chime in here. For some reason, I have had a lot of luck using the Reaction Innovations Little Dipper in the Sungill pattern around here. Second place goes to the Zoom fluke in Purple Flash (I think that’s the name of the pattern.)  I can understand the RI working but the Zoom sparkly purple fluke looks like nothing in the lakes of western MA.

I’ve been using the Cabelas swim baits for years and I’ve never had one that doesn’t swim properly.
