Worm hook + baby brush hog?

Featured Replies

Can I use a baby brush hog on a offset worm hook? And if so would a size 4/0 be big enough?

I should hope so.  You can rig a full size one that way too, much of that is just tail and flappers.  The bulk body is not all that long.  If it will fit, it's not too big in that case.  I have a reg brush baby rigged with a 4/0 right now, looks great to me.

if you are referring to the standard offset. that is what I use on a baby brush hog.

2/0 to 3/0 on the baby. 4/0 on the standard brush hog.

I don't care for ewg hooks on anything but flukes.

This is what I call a standard offset.

I have used a 4/0, but I prefer a 3/0 for the baby brush hog.

The 3/0 is as big as you need to go. To me the 4/0 is too big.
