I'm looking for a rod that can bridge a gap in my setups. Currently the heaviest rods I own all go to 1.5oz. 13 F Envy Black Flipping stick - 1.5 Oz & Diawa Dx type H glass rod 1.5oz. Currently the diawa has gotten s waver 168 duty but even that feels too much. I'd like to throw this nosiy dachs 180 but at 0.7 ounces heavier than the waver I think I need a bigger rod. Really around 1.25oz to 3.25oz. I'm looking for a fairly budget stick to get that duty done.I currently own a fair amount of high end tackle but I just don't think I can justify it for this type of fishing. Maybe I'm wrong. OH and I have a 13 F defy black 8'0H swimbait rod 4-8oz that I joke is a defensive weapon because it's a giant heavy pole cue. It'd be great for jousting!

I throw mags, the 168, 68 hudd, and boom boom shad on an academy ethos heavy.  Really any jig or frog rod should be fine for the waver and mag.

I use the Scott Martin 7’3” Frog/Swimbait rod to throw my 168 S Wavers, works fine for me. Could probably have a slightly slower tip and that would make it fantastic but whatever. I use a mono leader to give some stretch.
