2023 Shimano Curado 6’10 Medium/Fast?
Maybe the older version. In all of their current rod lines on their website they are MH/MF, I looked at each of them.

2023 Shimano Curado 6’10 Medium/Fast?
Glad to hear it’s light, this newer Tatula SV I just got is like a feather. Appreciate the Falcon recommendation. I’ll probably stay away from that model just because of the MF action. I’m getting a new rod because I realized I don’t like how soft the tip is on the rod I’ve been trying to use for jerkbaits.

2023 Shimano Curado 6’10 Medium/Fast?
Just looking for some thoughts on this particular model of the “new” Curado series. Looking for a rod for jerkbaits but I’ll probably through a variety of things on it (finesse jigs, small cranks) since my small arsenal requires versatility. Tatula SV103 would be sitting on it (I know I know a crime don’t crucify me). Intrigued by the Team Lew’s Signature Series 7’ Medium Fast as well.

FF Lure 11.5 Users - Cart Suggestions?
Just did some digging and someone is selling a Best Marine Cart which looks very similar to the Wilderness systems one for $75 on Marketplace, retails for $150. Only about 30 min away from me. The C-Tug will probably be my next option to try if this for some reason falls through. Appreciate all the responses guys.

FF Lure 11.5 Users - Cart Suggestions?
Looking to invest in a cart to make my life easier transporting my Lure 11.5 around. I fish a lot of bodies of water that don't have true boat launches and it's just a dirt path or one covered in tree roots from my car to the water and the "wheel in the keel" can only do so much. I've got a $100 Amazon gift card so something on there would be great, but I'm open to anything. Thanks!

Lake Kezar and Surrounding Area Advice
I'm from MA and taking a family trip to a friend's house in the Lovell ME area, about smack dab along the middle of Kezar (west side). I'll be taking my Lure 11.5 with me. Looking for some advice on fishing Kezar and if there's any other good spots in the area? I see a Horseshoe Pond and Farrington Pond on the map. Also Kezar River which looks like it's right in the center of Lovell. I found a thread from 2015 that had some really good advice and the overall opinion seemed to be that the North Bay was not the best area, at least for bass. Just curious if that is the same or has changed. I'm used to fishing small, dirty bodies of water in thick grass for LM so I'm going to be out of my element for sure. I do have a dropshot tied on already though so hopefully that comes in handy. I'm also not sure if I'm going to have electronics yet or not. I'm going to do my best to mount the transducer and everything tomorrow, but we leave Saturday so it's going to be tight. I'm not very experienced with that stuff. Appreciate any help!

"Sunrise"/"Morning Dawn" etc. Soft Plastic Colors - Why/When?
Just curious why colors like these are so popular? Is there any insight as to why they work so well? If I go into the reviews on TW for almost any worm, and most soft plastics, so many mention that these purple/pinkish colors are their favorite. I just find it kind of funny because it's so unnatural. Although I guess blue gill can have a kind of iridescent/purple shimmer sometimes. Whatever it is, I'm going to buy some roboworms and dream shots with this color scheme in the order I'm putting together right now. No idea when the best time to throw them is, but hopefully I find some luck.

Am I limiting myself by using a M for dropshotting?
100% Not at the moment... sadly? ?

Am I limiting myself by using a M for dropshotting?
Yes, and I've caught a few fish on a dropshot with it since last August. My question with this post was really does a M vs a ML really make a difference for dropshotting, am I going to struggle with getting fish in the boat because it's a stiffer rod. And clearly the general consensus is no, so that's great. But in general I liked what you said, it's 100% true for anybody who can do it. I just mean I don't have the money or space to buy a rod, see what application it works for and then buy another one for whatever application that rod couldn't cover. My goal is to have a few versatile rods and I wanted to know if I was going to be wasting my time using a dropshot with a "stronger" rod.

Oh I totally agree with this, find what works for YOU for sure. Only reason I ask is because I'm a high schooler who can't get a rod to test for each application so it's easier for me to put together other opinions and see if what I'm rocking with is going to do the job, you know ?

Yeah the only reason I go with braid is because I'm rarely fishing deep clear water like highland reservoirs, usually small stained ponds with a ton of grass. If I had more set ups though I would definitely have a spinning set up with braid and one with straight fluoro. Thanks Toxic.

Small Ponds & Cold Water. What baits?
Yes sir. I'm in the Hanson area, fish Burrage and surrounding waters a lot. I go to Plymouth a ton even though I don't have much success since I'm stuck bank fishing most of the time. I just love the area, used to live there. From time to time my dad and I will fish the cape a bit (Nickerson State Park, Goose Pond in Chatham), but I'm the only one with a kayak and otherwise we're stuck on the bank so it's a challenge. Wouldn't be surprised if we've crossed paths before, I'm down there a lot throughout the whole season.

Thanks Tom. Here's the info which I should've put in the OP: ALX Ikos Soul, Daiwa Tatula LT 3000; 15 lb 832 braid to 8 lb fluoro leader.

Somewhat new to drop shotting, I got into at the end of last summer and had pretty great success out of my kayak. I bought a new, higher end (for me) spinning set up last summer so that's why I took a crack at it. The rod is 7' Medium Fast, which I know is considered the most all around spinning set up. But am I going to lose a large % of fish because it's too stiff? Most guys seem to use a ML. I do fish around a lot of grass year round in MA ponds which also makes me feel like a M isn't terrible in my case. Just curious if I should make an investment for this season (I'm going off to college next year so trying to limit how much gear I get between now and then). Thoughts?

Small Ponds & Cold Water. What baits?
As always it's getting harder to find the fish in MA, and without a boat (can't even use my kayak right now sadly) my options are kind of limited to small ponds. Most of which are loaded with grass even this time of year. What baits do you guys throw when fishing ponds with temps this cold? Obviously most people on YT will tell you to fish a jig or a dropshot this time of year, but around here with so much grass still around it's a pain. Are blade baits a good option? Finesse swimbaits? Ned rigs? I always end up at a loss once late November rolls round.

Review's on Pfleuger Reels/Dobyns Sierra Rod/Sufix 832 Braid.
Spooled my new spinning set up with 15 lb 832 in camo. Great first experience with 832, smooth and quiet. Tied up nicely with a double uni knot to 8 lb FC as well.

Thanks for the info? I was agreeing with you so I’m not sure what that added to the topic but more power to you.

Which of these rods for S-waver 168?
I throw my 168s on a 7’3 Heavy/Fast (my frog rod) which is rated for up to 2 oz surprisingly. Should I throw it on there? Maybe not, but I don’t throw swimbaits enough to spend the money on a set up for them. It has worked well enough when I’ve managed to pull a bite. Braid to mono leader.

Daiwa Fuego CT Bait Cast Reel - Still Best Bang For The Buck ?
I second this. But I also x2 this. I still have a Fuego CT in my arsenal, it’s on my cranking rod. But I have smaller hands and I find it hard to palm for long. If you have bigger hands, I’d probably take it over the Speed Spool

Ark rod reviews needed
I purchased the Reinforcer 7'3 MH/F during the Black Friday sale when Ark was 30% off. Haven't got a ton of use out of it because I'm in New England and the weather has been all over the place, but I can tell you a few things... 1. Like others have said they definitely run heavy. I'd say my MH is almost as stout as my 7'3 H, has more give in the tip as well though. I wasn't too mad because I fish a lot of grass and like to power fish, I would throw a horny toad or smaller size frog on it if I needed to. I throw big worms in the summer and this will be much better than my frogging rod. 2. My reinforcer is sensitive for sure, I've read that the Invokers are sensitive rods as well, but have no personal experience. I got it to fish jigs/t rigs with and I'm satisfied in that department. Haven't had many hooksets with it yet sadly, but what I have had felt solid and didn't feel too stiff. I will admit this is my first rod over $200 though so I may have lower standards of sensitivity. 3. For what I'm about to say, keep in mind I have small-medium hands. The reel seat on the Reinforcer is a little weird for me. The texture feels nice, but the size is a little big especially if you have a large framed reel. I started out with my Tatula SV (2017) on there, but hands were starting to hurt. I just couldn't palm it well enough and my fingers were sitting weird on the reel seat. Put on an Lew's with an SLP frame and that problem's gone, hand feels fine. I'm going to but the Tournament Pro LFS to keep on there permanently. Hope this helps. H
