  1. I can't help your u with the lure, but I'm looking into getting an iRod fiber. Are they any good for the price?
  2. Yeah sorry guys. I realized too late that I posted in wrong forum. I'll check out that thread and would like to PM you... how? On this website or in like Instagram? If you can PM on this website, then I don't know how cause I'm new to this.
  3. Does anybody fish in the Quabbin reservoir frequently? I have fished there once and I actually caught my PB Smallie on a lipless crank (3.5 lbs). I am going back in October and I was looking for some tips and tricks for there (Locations, lures, lure colors, etc.). If anyone has any tips, I would LOVE to hear them, I'm not very experienced so im always open to tips. Also if you wanna suggest any of your favorite deep, clear water lures for anywhere cause thats what the Quabbin is. have a good day! -Harrison
  4. Hello! I think I'm going to be getting the Lew's Custom Inshore Speed Spool and I was wondering if anybody has held it yet? At iCast or somewhere else... it looks like an amazing reel! If anyone has information on the reel please respond! Tight Lines! -Harrison
  5. The new Tatula SV TW is supposed to be sweet! It brings the SV Spool from higher end Daiwas and with the TWS line guide, there is practically no backlashes. The only bad thing about the SV Spool is it has a smaller line capacity. But you can find it on eBay for $140. I'm torn between getting that or the lews Custom Inshore Speed Spool. If anyone has the Tatula SV TW, hit me up.
  6. I am going with the Lew's Team Lew's LITE Speed Spool LFS Baitcast Reel - 7.5:1 - TLL1SH (when your too lazy to type so you copy and paste). It came down to that and the Daiwa Coastal TWS because it has a really nice line capacity and it is corrosion resistant and I Saltwater fish as well and you can use it for both. But then I found the Lew's reel for $70 off! Found it for $160 and it retails for $239. I think the Tatula will be the next reel since you can find it for so cheap and my dad needs a nice baitcaster! Thanks guys!
  7. Good to hear becuase for my birthday I'm getting a frogging/other grass baits set up and I really wanna try a whopper plopper ?
  8. Thank You guys! No need to post anymore... unless you want to of course ??? I've decided on a reel! Tight Lines!
  9. Idk sorry man. I am new to this, just got into about 6 months ago. I have learned anything that I know from YouTube and reading things. I don't have any other good set ups this would be my first "decent" set up. And frogging is my favorite thing to do cause it's so explosive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so I wanted my first good set up to a frog set up but I didn't not have the money to spend so I can't go to high up. I guess I'll get the CT ? Thanks
  10. Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for. I think I will go for the normal TC or the Daiwa Lexa 300HS Original High Capacity 7.1:1 that I found for $160 on Amazon. I went think the Lexa might be better for me since it holds so much line and I change out lures a lot ??Do you UNK that the 7.1:1 is fast enough for the frogs? If I miss out on that, then I will probably go with the CT.
  11. I was already trying to find the Lew's Wide Spool Super Duty on eBay but couldn't. Thanks for the suggestions... I will look into Tatula. Thank you for all your responses! I was able to find the daiwa Lexa 300HS on Amazon for $160. Is this a good deal? I like it because it has super high capacity and I change out lures a lot ?
  12. Hello! I am new on the forums and I am looking for a good reel $160 or less (USD) for frogging and flipping and swim Jigs. I am going to be pairing it with the Okuma Scott Martin TCS rod (7'3" Heavy/Fast). I have been looking at the Daiwa Tatula CT Type R and the Lew's Mach II or Mach Crush. Also I found the Typer R for $140 on EBay from TriaceTackle2016. Anybody know if they are trustworthy? Cause they have a lot of stuff but it's really cheap so I don't know if they are knockoffs. Any suggestions for the reel? Appreciate the help! -Harrison [edit] and if anyone wants to sell a good frogging reel for under 160 on EBay or something, email me. I think it should be in my profile. ?
  13. Would you think that the 7.3:1 would be better than the 8.1:1 cause you can use for more than just topwater?
