im buying a jon boat but dont kno wat size tell me wat yall think a 12' or 14'

If you fish with someone else you need a 14ft at least that is what I think. Also what kind of water are you going to fish pond,creek,river or lake?

well im fishing a small lake and i will usually have one or two people with me and i might pull somebody behind it a couple times

Minimum in my experience would be a 14/42

12 ft is nice for two persons and that would be it, very nice if powered by a 9.9 HP even though something smaller like a 6.5 does the trick, but if you are planning for 3 people a 14 ft barely cuts it.

well the 14' is 14' by 32" and I have my great grandads 1970's model 9.5

Have you tried out the 14/32 yet? I just sold a a 14/36 because it was too tippy.

I would agree that width is more important than length.  I'd take a wide 12' over a narrow 14'.

Mine is a 14' x 36" and fishes 2 people comfortably while sitting. Standing is better for fishing alone.

I have tried a 12' by 32" but at academy they do not have a 48" other than a 15' by 42" but it is $1000

Are you saying that you want to put a deck on a 12'x32" jon ? You'll be sorry. Find your self a 1448 and deck it.
