At home rod/combo storage ideas?

Featured Replies

I have accumulated quite a few combos/rods over the years. I have my boat combos, my bank combos along with other technique specific stuff, and find I still have stuff all over my garage and id like to tidy it up a bit. I have an Okuma rod holder that is full. What are you guys doing for your home/garage storage?

2 deck boards and a hole saw.

I also go horizontal like Weber but only use J hooks. One set for spinning rods and the other for casting rods.

I do not keep reels on the rods when they’re hung.

What i I like about mine is that they are out of sight from anyone looking into my garage so no eyesore for the Mrs. and no incentive from snooping thieves. Still could get robbed of course but hey.

I have something similar to this setup but I used a couple pieces of PVC, some small bungees, and a few J hooks. Cost less than $10 for all the materials and keeps them up and out of the way.

I made this after built my overhead storage unit in garage, it was a reach high so no need for ladder and a temporary stand when I came back from skunked trip.

Believe me this is look a lot nicer than it usually is. Sometime I have 4-5 rod just laying on each other not on the rack. I forgot I also have another bundle (saltwater rod) just like picture on bottom.

I can't find the pictures but they are in this thread.
