  • 1 month later...
Hey everyone.  I hope people still checks this thread, because I need some advice.  I got a Pro 120 a few months back and I am totally redoing it (extending decks, adding storage, lights, depth finder, etc....)  I am wanting to split my hull to run wires for all my accessories.  I do believe this would be the easiest way to run wires and hide the wires.  If I split the hull, I believe I could wire everything up in a few hours, but I have been told that it is not worth splitting the hull just to do wiring.  Has anyone done this just to run wires?  For those of you that have split the hull, did you put staples back around the seam?  If so, what kind of staples did you use?  Did it take a special staple gun?  Were you able to reuse the "rubrail"?

I emailed KL Industries and they replied with the process of joining the two parts of hull together, but couldn't tell me exactly what staples or staple gun were used.

I have taken the control panel off and tried to use magnets to run fishing line through the hull, but there is styrofoam up towards the top of the hull, so this method isn't going to work.  I thought about getting a fiberglass fish tape and try to push through the styrofoam, but haven't tried it yet.  So if anyone has run wires through the hull without splitting it, what did you do that worked?

Any advise or pics would be greatly appreciated.  I am also trying to create an account so I can share pictures, but I guess I'm too stupid to pass the security check!

Hey Guys, I know this is an older thread. Ive been waiting for the reintroduction of these for a while now and was finally able to order one. Ive owned a dozen boats at least from cabin cruisers to small bass boats and everything in between. I like the way these come all set up and water ready. I have two 100 ah lithium batteries and two 54# thrust TMs ready to go. The wide beam which is 10" wider than the American 12 is a worthy upgrade for sure. No mods needed unless you want to. This will be used on our private electric only 200 acre lake. Anyways, stay safe out there and have fun.

I have the Block that KL Industries makes for the Aun Dolphin Pro 120.

my question is do you secure it to the front wood deck ?
how do you remove the deck , I don’t see any nuts/bolts to remove the front wood deck infront?

or if you drill into the plastic what do you use to secure it

thanks
