Is it my computer or the site?

It has gotten when I go into someones topic, It's several pages wide and have to scroll to the right a lot to read them.

It's gotten bad enough on some that if they do that, I just exit out.

For instance the topic "         I cast a very, very unusual lure                  " When I go into it, it goes across for several pages and I'm not going to try to read that.

That's definitely unusual, and probably local to your PC.  What browser?

Your computer.

Sign out and then sign in.

I have had the Forum's print go to extra small and I had to check out and then check back in to get the proper print size.

Also had the problem with the screen being just a tad too large and I had to check out and check in to remedy the problem.

I have no idea what is going on but I agree with you it is a pain in the fanny.

I recently updated the forums, so you may have to clear your cache.  Usually I deploy the code so you won't have to do that (for those of you that have been here a long time - remember those days?).  But sometimes it can't be avoided.

OK, I tried a different browser, FireFox and everything works normal.  I guess my google ain't doing something right

I have the same problem on my work computer. I don’t have access to clear cache on that but I am not worried as the site works fine on my phone and iPad.

I am more concerned that on any device I have the “insert other media” button doesn’t work like it used to. When pressed it said “insert existing attachment” or “insert URL” the insert URL is not there anymore and that’s the way I post pics.

Unfortunately I had to remove that functionality until further notice due to a security exploit. However you can still upload pictures to your gallery, and link to them from there, or upload directly to a post. Apologies for the hassle.

Kudos to Glenn and all the mods that make this site go. The more we integrate technology into the classroom the more I realize it is much more than posting on a forum. From creating assignments, to push notifications, to reminders, to grading, to this, that and the other, it is a chore.

Which SMS are you using?  I know it's not ours, because we're NYS only.

I use the remind app to communicate with parents. We use our school website to update our calendars with lesson plans, syllabus, etc. I use Google Classroom to do a lot of my daily assignments and we use Wengage as our grade and attendance system. Probably didn't answer your question though lol.

No, that was what I was thinking.  I haven't heard of Wengage.  Our product does all that, as well as grading, GPA calculations, RCs, transcripts, scheduling, master schedule, attendance, parent portal, etc, but NY only.  I know many districts , including my home city, use a variety of apps, loosely connected.  Probably still not enough to get you to move to NY, lol.

That would be wonderful to have it all available in one location. I like it here in Oklahoma lol

Yeah, but from my perspective, it can be tough.  Some of the code is 20 years old, so we're constantly refactoring, and updating to modern standards.  It keeps us busy.  Education system is not a terrible place to be.  I feel like my work matters more than when I worked at Xerox.
