TroyCopeland05 Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 I'm going to North Lake Tahoe in a couple of weeks for my brother's baseball tournament. I was wondering if it would be worth taking fishing gear. If anyone has any advice for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Wizzlebiz Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 I have zero advise about lake tahoe specifically and more of advice in general. If there is a body of water you can catch bass in bring your stuff with you. Thats all the advise I can offer. Quote

Super User J._Bricker Posted September 3, 2019 Super User Posted September 3, 2019 @TroyCopeland05 you can have deceit trout fishing in the Truckee River throwing Panther Martin or Mepps spinners. Check the regs, if I remember correctly some areas are barbless or fly fishing only. The evening bite can be pretty good. Have only fished Donner and Stampede for kokes. The bridge where Lake Tahoe dumps into the Truckee might give you an idea of the size of the brown trout in the lake/river. Have a great trip, it should be fun... Quote

Fish bridge is assume with big Lake trout, Rainbows and Browns to watch, can't fish with a 100 yards if the bridge however. Tahoe isn't a bass although a few smallmouth can be caught don't count on it. I agree with the above advice use spinning tackle and fish the Truckee River. Tom Quote
