Daiwa Steez upgrades

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I have a few older Steez reels (2x 100 sh, 1 ex 100hs) and I recently got a Alphas ct sv and I love the sv spool.

Is it possible to put a sv spool (I know not a 70...spacers and whatnot) in my older Steez reels? And, while I'm at that, I'd probably send them off for cleaning and potential bearing upgrades.

Assuming the SV spool is possible, who do y'all recommend that I send my reels for cleaning and upgrades?

I’m a sponsor here and glad to help. As for spool swap, what do you wish to accomplish? The stock one isn’t necessarily seen as deficient as a rule. There are multiple options.

Any 34mm spool daiwa makes will drop in. The Zillion SV G1 spool is a really good spool to drop into it.
