Tried something new, for me, anyway.  I fished wacky rigs and have trouble keeping the worm from being down into weeds, in shallow water.  Don't like to have to keep jerking the worm through the water to keep it up out of the weeds.  I put the rig under a bobber.  In breezy weather, the wave action will keep the bobber moving, then the worm working.  I rig it just deep enough to keep the worm above the weeds, or in deeper water, just in front of the weed wall.  If the wind isn't blowing enough, a little drag and jerk action will work.  

 

Some results, but not the end all of fishing.  A couple of bites I didn't let the fish have it long enough and a 5 pounder that slammed the worm.

It's a rig up that works! Used it myself a few times over the years.

I've never even thought of that.  A lot of times I switch from wacky to weightless t-rigged when dealing with weeds. 
Now I have to go buy some bobbers!

It's been talked about here from time to time, and it just works. 

@RAMBLER this has been a pretty effective technique in late winter/early spring when a little wind chop provides the action for the worm or stick bait.

I've done it with kids and beginners a few times and it does work surprisingly well. One of these days I'm putting a Ned rig under a bobber and wearing them out with it.

 

I get most of my bites on the wacky rig right after I lift it up. So, I would never do this.

I tried this yesterday.  Worked very well in a spot where i'd normally only fish top water due to grass.   I didn't even put much into it, just turned a Yum Dinger sideways on my T-rig setup (3/0 Worm Offset hook), with the 3/16 weight, and snapped on one of my kids spongebob bobbers on it.

 

Ironically, i only though about trying it after I found someone trash pile of plastics next to the Pond.  And the first fish was caught on 2/3rd of a chewed up Senko from said pile.
