Destroyer FMJ or GLX MBR 844CC

Featured Replies

What's your opinion between the two? Will be used for 6 inch t rigged and whack senkos in thick grass. Versatility is a bonus

GLX for versatility. Both are sweet though. Love my 844C MBR

Currently my buddy just needs a step up from his Diablo spec r, I'd think the 844C is a large step up in power from the spec r. Spec r is rated to 3/4 but I don't think it does well that high.

Id say the FMJ from Destroyer or the Orochi Braillist for any kinda of bottom contact in the Megabass lines. There are other models too, but these are stand outs.

The I have both rods, the 844c is more versatile but the FMJ is a better bottom contact rod and is like 1/2 a loomis power stronger.  I think it really depends on what else you want to do with the rod.  I have used both rods for single hook moving baits and both work well but with the 884c being better.

844C is my pick as its a step up from the Spec R. I'd say the FMJ may be 2 steps up and would have too much power for wacky senkos. Its got a ton of power but is excellent for bottom contact baits over 1/2 oz. MBR 844C is my pick as its so sensitive and versatile but both are great. Buy both lol

He went with the 844C. It will be his first loomis rod so he's excited
