If you want a company that holds their value very well it's hard to beat G Loomis, Shimano, Daiwa, St Croix, Megabass. They hold their value the best hands down from my experience.

Not many places are going to let you take tags off use a rod then say you don't like it and return it. Better off selling locally and then buying the mojo and paying the difference.

Dobyns make a balanced rod and quality control is good but the blanks are terrible. For moving baits I think they are great but for bottom contact look elsewhere. I think I've fished $99 rods more sensitive than the Champion XP

100% correct in staying a rod is much more than sensitivity. Handle length, balance, sensitivity, etc all create the perfect rod. In my hands the NRX is more sensitive but Conquest is a cleaner build. A lot of what you said is right on point but I don't think I would say the NRX is outdated in regards to technology. I agree it needs to address the balance and change the guide train but titanium framed SIC and recoil are not outdated just not most peoples preference. I think that's what you mean in that it needs an update but by no means outdated in terms of technology compared to other rods.

I remember I bought a 6'6 M Veritas back in the day and it was really stiff for a M almost a MH. Over the years, the rod loosen up. The carbon fiber structure over years like WRB said has to have adjusted after years of usage

Daiwa for sure! IMO Daiwa and Shimano are the only brands in the reel industry

COVID has dismantled businesses across the U.S. To not return to a business after the COVID chaos based on a bad experience during the crisis is not giving them the benefit of the doubt. Companies are sold out of products and backordered. They could have it ordered but things are just backlogged. But I personally don't like BPS at all. I don't blame you for not going there lol. Buying line in bulk for sure but make sure it's legit.

We all get stirred up time but guess what? arguments and hearing others P.O.V can be very informational. We can all learn from eachother. I am a rod and reel guru and understand river fishing very well but guess what? My offshore and graphing skills are so bad lol. We need others strong where we are weak

100% agree. Double San Diego Jam and no issues at all. Best knot i have found so far. Sniper is great line

I would go to that tackle shop or else you will have to ship it so you will have around $30 in shipping there and back plus the repair. After everything you'd be hard pressed to spend less than around $40. Just about any tackle shop should have a rod and reel repair

I highly suggested Shimano and Daiwa reels. For rods, I personally dont like Dobyns rods at all. Rods I would recommend Daiwa, Shimano, Miller Rods, St Croix, Phenix, G Loomis.

I would have a local repair done for a new guide. It should be relatively cheap. Shipping is too expensive nowadays to ship anywhere. Even for warranty you'd likely have 15 just to ship. A local tackle shop charges $10 for a guide replacement
