Shimano intenza

Featured Replies

Anyone have one I picked up a medium fast action casting rod for jerkbait and top water. Was wondering if anyone might have some feed back in this particular model. I have never owned a shimano rod before.

I hear those rods are great especially for the price. I don’t have one, but I’m sure you’ll be very happy with it.

I was using a lews carbon fire and I thought it was a awesome awesome rod I paid 50 bucks for it on sale and i Wanted to up grade to something of a little better quality and maybe a little more sensitive for those jerkbaits.

I'm going to use mine for big jigs and medium swim baits. I'm so pumped it will be my first Father's Day gift lol.

The rods look and feel great, I to am interested in picking one up and would like to know how they perform.

Well when it gets here I will let you guys know what I think of it. It might be a bit because tackle warehouse's ground shipping is backed up so I wont be getting it till med June.  But I will let you all know what I think then.

I handled one in the store and was quite impressed.  It is the best looking rod in the Shimano lineup IMO.  On build quality it is definitely a step up from the SLX

That makes me even more excited to get it in the mail . Lol I cant wait to get it . I also got a slx xt to pair it with.

I have two of the 7'1" med hvy and one 7'2" med hvy.

They are nice rods. I like the grip and the fore nut.

The forenut can be used as a hook keeper which is great in these days of no hook keepers.

I can't speak for sensitive because I only use mine for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits.

The blank on the 7'2" is noticeable thicker than the 7'1" blank though. Not sure why its so much thicker for one additional inch.

Is the 7'2 a mod fast rod and the 7'1 just a fast?

7'1" is extra fast

7'2" is fast. Not the glass model.

So I got my intenza today in a 74H and it is a true heavy but I love it. Its light the grips are great and it looks awesome paired with my slx xt . I'll be fishing a tournament this weekend I think it's going to do some work on them fish.

I just received my 73H Intenza casting rod and it's light in weight but heavy in action.  Esox should like it for frogging.

I love the intenza I have it in medium action fast and I use it for jerks and top water and paired it with a lews superduty and I Don’t like setting it down it’s very comfortable and has good sensitivity
