Mexico Trip

Featured Replies

My apologies if this question has already been asked/answered.  I’m looking to do a Mexico bass trip late this late Feb. or early Mar.  I’m open to El Salto and also Baccarac or Comedero but only if they’re strongly out-fishing El Salto.  Who is offering the best deals right now?  Thanks all.

@A-Jay- you're up...

He's a regular traveler to Baccarac - probably has info on all three.

OK - I lied.

Never been to El Salto

Been to Lake Baccarac Lodge a number of times.

Never felt the need to go anywhere else.

I've posted (As have other BR members) a number of threads documenting the results.

Below are the posts & videos from the last two trips.

I just got back from El Salto. On the ride back to the airport, I talked with an older gentleman who has been to both lakes numerous times. He summed it up this way. Right now anyway, if you want strictly big fish, Lake Bacarrac would be the place to go. If you want the whole experience (food, accommodations, service), El Salto is the place to go. I do want to go to Baccarac sometime. With a teenage son who had rather be catching fish than trophy hunting, El Salto is perfect. He did catch an 11.3 on our first trip there. Go to either and you will never forget it.

This is the silliest OP I have read in a long time and I wonder the motivation. To comment further would only get me in trouble.....
