To buy or not to buy?

Featured Replies

I am interested in buying a used Tracker 175 Pro Team 175 TWX or 175 TF. I have someone in our area that is considering selling me a 2013 175 TF with the 60hp Merc, 70 lb push trolling motor, 3 batteries and charger, 2 Garmin 7" fish finders, trailer with brand new tires and spare and towing cover. It is in immaculate condition as he is the original owner, it's stored in side and has less than 50 hours total. I am an occasional fisherman and would use it mainly on our local lakes.I appreciate any and all feedback. We are talking about $10,000 - $10, 500. Should I make it mine or look for a little newer unit?

I'd look up the book value on it. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Sounds like basically a new boat for 10k? If everything checked out I'd own it. Good luck

Sounds like a good buy to me. Give it a test ride and decide for yourself. A few years ago I bought a 1997 boat in great shape so I have nothing again buying old if it is in great condition. I would get a compression test just to be on the safe side. Make sure all the switches do what they suppose to. Good luck with your buy,

50 hours is not many but I would still check the compression on the engine. I would also want to put the boat in the water & take it for a test ride to make sure there is no leaks & everything works.
