LA - looking for fishy friends.

Featured Replies

Just moved to the LA region and looking for folks who don't mind me tagging along on a trip. Happy to provide beer/gas/entertainment.

I've fished Castaic a few times but man... that lake is TOUGH without a fish-finder.

Welcome aboard, and good luck on your quest!

Check in with local tackle shops and look up local bass clubs.

I have not been fishing for awhile but know the local lakes very well and can give you a few pointers on how to bass our local lakes.

Welcome to SoCal bass fishing.

Welcome to SoCal, I don’t fish in that area, but Tom is an expert here and live in the area. He might be able to get you in touch with some DD bass.

One thing I noticed about bass fishing in Socal, it is tough everywhere unless you get to know a lake and have access to a boat and electronics.  Even then, nothing is guaranteed.

During these winter months, I go for other species as it is just easier.

Best of luck out there.

Welcome to the Left Coast. Explain the kind of entertainment

You also have central and northern Cali to explore. You can go west and hit the surf perch. Bass gear is all you need.

Hi,

Castaic is challenging lake, are you on foot or boat? you can meet me on some fishing days , just let me know you want the challenge or just want to catch numbers, I can show you both.

Hi ATA,

I'm willing to meet you some weekend.  I'm all about the numbers after being skunked for the last few months.
