Paddletails = pbs?

Featured Replies

So this weekend I went fishing with some buddies and broke my pb largemouth twice. The first was a 5.5lber caught on a 4" hollow body swimbait and the second was a 6.5lber that I caught on a 3.5" solid body on an underspin. What is everyone else's pb on a paddletail?

One of my favorite baits these days and almost always start with it as a search bait. Which brand were you using? I have become very partial to the Jackyll rythm waves - great action at any speed and more durable than Keitech or Strike King. I believe my PB on a paddletail is a little over 5 lbs.

17+ lb. bag of smallies from Oneida in a tournament that I came 2nd in.  Was throwing an umbrella rig with Keitechs on 1/8 oz. J-Will heads.

The 5.5lber came on a zoom swimmer rigged on a owner beast hook. After not getting anymore bites I switched to a Slayer Inc S.S.T. rigged on a owner flashy swimmer and 6.5lber swallowed it almost to the point of getting gut hooked. I switched to the slayer because the zoom tail wouldn't kick good at the slow speed I was reeling.

6lb.9oz. on an 8in. hollow body. I think it was a Basstrix, but don't hold me to that.
