1987 bass tracker tournament v17 question

Featured Replies

Has anyone here had one before?

I found a really good deal on one but it has a 50hp outboard and jackplate.

Is it really underpowered? Seems a bit underpowered but I have not tested it.

Just wondering if someone here had something similar and whats speeds would it run. Id be happy at 30mph but I have doubts it can do it.

I have the same boat with a 60hp Merc and its top speed is 34 mph.  It cruises comfortably at 28-30.

My old.man had one of them. But with a 75 I believe. It would push the boat 40ish if I remember correctly. With that 50 you should run low 30s I would guess. Very good riding boat with lots of room inside

I had one with a 60hp, i think it went like 34mph. I don't think 50hp will do 30mph, but would you settle for 28mph? I'm pretty sure it will do that. I never had a single issue with the boat.

Thanks guys, I actually tested the boat. it did a max of 27mph. I was gonna buy it, until I saw his 2002 bass tracker pro team 185 with a 90hp mercury in the back. I bought that one instead.
