Cordell 3/4 oz Super Spot wanted

Featured Replies

Looking for Cordell Super Spot lipless cranks in 3-1/2", 3/4 oz size. Fishable condition, hooks not important as they will be changed any way.

Try moving your post to the Fishing Flea Market Forum. I have two of the 3/4oz.but not looking to sell or trade as I've been unable to find them at my area big box stores.  Have you tried that auction site?

Thanks for the tip!

I have tried "that auction site", and just about everywhere else. Its as if these dont exist. These have been a consistent producer for early season musky in cold water, but they dont hold up well to being wrapped up in the net with big toothy fish.

Are there any other brands you can recommend that have a similar performance and depth?

You might look at Bill Lewis Rat-l-traps. I think the 3/4 ounce ones are called Mag-traps.  The 1 ounce size are magnum force.

Ive tried them and caught fish on them all the way up to the 1.5 oz super trap.

The cordell runs shallower than any lipless I've tried, and the fish EAT them!

We mainly fish these over submerged weed beds in shallow water and the cordells stay above the weeds better than any we've tried, and we've tried most of them.

Yeah, the half ounce run a lot deeper. The 3-1/2" spot at 3/4 oz is in a class by itself. Most other brands we have tried weigh in around an ounce or more at 3-1/2". I'm actually trying to find these for a buddy. I have a few of the old Bingham 4", 1 oz blanks (discontinued long ago) I painted that work as well as the spots, but Im too selfish to share! ;)
