SlashBait

Featured Replies

Is 58 Degree watertemp to cold for a slashbait or should I go with a regular OldPointer by LuckyCraft ?

If I am not mistaken, they are the same baits.  As I have always understood, calling it a slashbait is more in the cadence in how you fish it.  But they are all jerkbaits.

Not sure exactly what you're referring to as a "slash bait". That's often slang for a suspending jerkbait, and there is no such thing as too cold for those.

I've always called nonsuspending minnow type baits slash baits - they pop back up when you jerk down.

same thing really just how you fish it. although if im fishing it more aggressively I tend to like the xrap more, youll just have to vary your retrieve to see what they like that day.
