have a 7.2:1 Casitas. It is one of my three lower end reel in my arsenal. It is on a rid that is leaving soon. The reel is ok but its not great. What presentations would this reel be good for? I was thinking swim jig with 17lb flor but im not sure. 

  I have a Casitas 150 HG. I tried it with 15 mil line, and it seemed to do OK for about a month. Now it makes a not-so-faint "sh-sh-sh-sh" noise on both cast and retrieve. If it were my decision, I wouldn't put over 12 mil line on it. Of course, the trouble I'm having might be unique to my reel, too. You never know.       jj

wdym 12 mil? I have 12 lb invisx on this one, and the one I sold have 15 lb red label

The one I had didn't seem like it had a lot of torque. I'd hook a fish and it really seemed like the reel was working to crank the fish in. I'd probably fish topwaters like poppers and WTD baits with it because they do cast pretty well and are pretty smooth on the retrieve.

hmmm, might end up selling the reel, shame I won't get a tn for it though. I agree with what you are saying, feels unnaturally hard to reel fish in, but it does cast well.

 

I'd Put it on my topwater rod, but I have my cheapest reel on it, the black max which I got for free as a gift haha

   What I'm trying to say is it's not a strong reel. I'd use lighter line, as in lighter techniques.      jj
