Reel not clicking

Featured Replies

My reel was squeaking when i turned the handle so i disassembled it and cleaned it but now when i push the button and then turn the handle the button doesnt go back up. Ive tried disassembled and reassembling it again but still same issue. What should i do?

Sounds like something is not connected just right. try looking it up on youtube by your reel manufacturer and model. Or wait and DVT will be able to tell you whats wrong

Hate it when that happens! This is why I don’t mess around with my reels anymore.

Hard to say without knowing the model and what exactly you disassembled. Could be adoring disconnected, ratchet gear misaligned. You can call me tomorrow if you’d like.

Try flipping the bottom most washer on the drag/gear stack (anti reverse ratchet). It sounds like it may have been put on upside down.
