Why is Fishing not listed as allowed?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

just checking the new restrictions for outdoor activities in CA.

Fishing is not included here, when some other activities are, that imo are much more 'risky' in my opinion.

Anybody has any background info on why fishing is not included here?

I wouldn’t over think it. Go fishing and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

That's what I am planning to do! ;)

Just got some 'warning tickets' for parking somewhat close to the lake...

You need to check which public lakes are closed or open.

In Marin county, the lakes themselves are not closed, but the parks are. So you can get your bike and ride to the lake and all is good. But parking at the lake or near it is a big no no.

Today, I did not get a warning ticket. go figure..

You're good with fishing in pretty much any lake that's open... just be sure not to play doubles badminton in the yard with the people you live with or you're toast. Singles only. Smh with some of these nonsensical rules.

I was kinda surprised that it wasn’t posted, however “crabbing” is fishing. No one has been stopped from fishing, unless the lakes or launch ramps are closed. And the places that are open just draw more people to use the facilities.
Good luck and be well
