Boat wrapping

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever had their boat wrapped to get a different color scheme?  Wondering what the cost is and how it worked out.

I am currently having my cockpit wrapped.  It was gelcoat over fiber glass and over the years developed hair line cracks from sun and stress.  I cleaned out the cracks with an ice pick and filled them with Magic Easy Hairline Crack Filler, let it cure for two weeks, sanded them down with 2000 grit and it is now being wrapped because it looks wierd with all of the crack fixes, which are a lot lighter than the beige jelcoat.  I will post a pic when I get the boat back.  This a 20 years old boat.

Look forward to seeing that.

Just got a call from the guy doing the wrap, the whole cockpit is beige, but he is putting a sold green "V"" on the front and just got the green wrap in.  My seats are green and beige, so it should look nice.  Should be ready this Monday.  Can't fish anyway with howling winds now.

Here is the before and after. I forgot to add that the beige wrap is actually a soft metallic gold.

Is that for the whole boat?  I wonder what it’d be if you just wanted to have a different color stripe or something.

The whole cockpit was $300.

Whole boat, but that's the price for up here. So $1700 if I did my 17.5' boat. A stripe probably less.

If there's a Sign-A-Rama store near you, check them out. They did a friends truck and boat. A lot cheaper than a "specialized" shop and both turned out great

Yea we use a sign shop to do stuff for our semis and trailers.  Done a lot of business with them so hopefully they’d give me a break if I ever did one.

I see a lot of boat for sale where I like the boat but don’t like the colors or the colors of the stripes in the side.
