I prefer 5 lb Max UG coploy line for split/ slip shot rigs becuase FC sinks faster and tends to drag on the bottom. Drop shot FC has the advantage as noted.

A little known method is the floating worm or twitch worm, weightless 4 inch straight tail with a small hook, do nothing or slight twitches works good on riprap, flats and points and docks
