Just got a Steez A.  Looking for a decent jig rod to pair with it.  Budget max is $400. 

If you got a steez...I would try and pair it with a steez,nrx or similar.  

 

Don't put discount tires on a Ferrari.

I really like the Edge Black Widow and Shimano Poison Adrena for jigs, in that price range. Heard good things about the 2020 ALX Enox, but haven't used it. Tackletrap had good deals on Legend elite and X rods to put them under $400 and they're excellent as well. I'd find the one that you think looks best with the specs you desire. No manufacturer is going to sell a bad $300-$400 rod.

I have have the Steez SV TWS and have it on a St. Croix Legend Elite M Fast.  It has been fantastic so far. I use it for jigs and t rigged soft plastic. 

 

 Another rod that I like with it is the G. Loomis 803C GLX.  I have been considering the NRX version of this rod.  I love the 853 I have. 

I have the Enox BMJ. Nice rod for the money. If American made matters to you, the Enox line is worth looking into.

 

Otherwise, the Megabass FMJ is supposed to be 'the' 1/2 oz jig rod.
