Berkley scale question

Featured Replies

This is gonna sound pretty dumb, but I somehow managed to switch my scale from measuring in pounds to kilograms and now I dont know how to change it back. To top it off I threw away the instruction book last week. :-[ Hopefully someone else has the same one and knows how to do it...

This is the one I have; http://www.berkley-fishing.com/prod.php?k=75281&sk=50510&u=FS_N

Thanks

Press and hold the Power and Choose buttons simultaneously for 3+ seconds and it will change from whatever unit it's on to the other.

You're not alone man,...been there, done that, ...didn't have a scale for 2 days :)

Ya know, i have one of those scales also, I kind of noticed something.......

If you weigh in pounds and ounces, the most accurate reading you get will be within 1 ounce, lets say for example  3 lb 8 ounces.

I noticed that if you weigh in Kilograms, it will read to the hundreth (sp?) as opposed to only reading to an ounce, for example 3.27 Kilos.

In a tournament situation were every single bit counts, and you have 2 fish that show identical pound and ounce readings, wouldn't someone be further ahead by switching to Kilos to see which fish was actually heavier since in Kilo mode the scale reads as I described?

Just curious if any of you have tried this?????

This question was right on the mark.  I got my instructions wet and can no longer read them.  How do you zero the weights in memory?  I've tried all combinations of pushing the Power-on button and the Choose or Hold buttons and the weights are still in memory. :'(

So how many 10 lb'ers did you catch those two days????

This is a copy from the instructions:

With the unit in C mode, press and hold the CHOOSE button for six seconds and scale will reset memory and zero out. Press the POWER button and scale is ready to begin weighing again.

This is me again: I have no idea what C mode is.

Marty, got it.  Thanks much for the information.  I'm going to give it a try. :)
