What's up memphis bass anglers, anybody been catching any fish? 

 

Had some luck at Grove on Senkos and a black jig/ blue Rage Tail Craw.

 

That's good to hear! Tried yesterday for an hour and a half with a chatterbait and rattle trap. No takers though

 

Been getting bites all year.  They are now hitting topwater so I'm happy.  I'm off to dog park in shelby farms here in an hour.

When you pull into the dog park do you fish the pond to the right that's by itself? Fished there before and caught some 1lbers or so. See alot of people taking fish out of that pond?

Another strike out at grove today. Gonna try again this week if the rain will hold up.

I never did very good at the grove.  Its rough.

The dog park is decent for a few fish around a pound.  My son hail maryed a stick worm in the middle last summer and caught a decent one near 4lb but that was a one time deal.  The only one I have repeatedly caught fish is the west most pond in the dog park area.

Call me when you can fish.

Caught me a little guy today at johnson, middle pond on the west side seems to be where I always catch them.

Rode out to shelby forest and shore fishery peirsol with my kids.  I caught 4 shorts and my son 2.  Guys in a jon caught 5 and took them home.  That pond is a little small for harvest, but that's just my opinion.

Finally got on a good one with the 6" storm swimbait. I didn't have a scale with me sadly. She is swimming free for the next person to have a try. What do yall think it weighs?

Any good catches lately?

 

6lb+ today at Grove on a Rage Blade/ Structure Bug. White on white.

One hour and thirty minutes, one bite and one fish...and then I left! 

 

We have lived in the Memphis/Olive Branch area for a good while now and used to go to Herb Parsons years ago. We have just started kicking around the idea of taking it up again. The pond hopping sounds like alot of fun. Large and Smallmouth my favorite to catch. So first question is who can give me some good small ponds or lake near Olive Branch? Been thinking about buying one of the little 10ft bass hunter or pelican fishing boats and using an battery trolling motor.  Fishing from bank is all good too. lol
