What longer handles have you guys used on your Shimano mgl reels? I'm looking at them for wrenching bass out of grass 

I only have one Chronarch MGL 8.1:1 and have never felt the need to change the handle, which is 96mm.

The old Metanium MGL, Bantam MGL, and Scorpion MGL use the 84mm handle on the 6 and 7 speed models, with the 8 speed having at least a 90mm handle on each reel.  

 

I dislike the smaller handle on my scorpion, but all my other handles of at least 90mm seem fine to me.  Aftermarket handles get expensive (often $100ish) and are not worth it to me unless I truly hate the existing handle.  You could swap to a bigger shimano 96mm handle for $40.

I keep at least a 90mm handle with big knobs on most of my reels nowadays. The curado k ruined me for life, I wish I’d never touched the thing...
