Kvd 1.5 shallow

Featured Replies

We haven't had much rain lately and because of this my local pond is lower than it has been in years. Because of it I've recently had success with the kvd shallow. Are there other good crank options that run the same depth? Not really looking for wake cranks

A plug that I throw a lot is the 'Bandit 100'.

Like the KVD 1.5, it also runs about 4-ft deep.

Bomber Square A generally dives less than 3 ft.  The smaller 1 5/8" version may go 2 ft or less if you keep your rod high.

Manns baby -1 is a awesome little bait.

Several good options out there.  Just a few that I really like... storm arashi, norman fat boy, spro little john, and duel hard core1+.  I still have some of the little bandits too! The duels are on closeout now.  I like the rapala dt6 and the ikes ink.   The arashi, duel, and fat boy get the most work from me.  I bought a half dozen of the new 6th sense crush, but havent thrown them a ton.  The smaller 100 or 1.5 size prob get bit the most, but I really like a 2.5 size or 1/2 ounce weight.

+1 ... The Bandit 100 is a neat deal and often under utilized in the summer - fished slow like a wake bait up top or speed it up a little for diving down a couple of feet makes it versatile. Color choices are good too .

I always forget to throw these...for a few years they were my favorite crank but I never liked how shallow they run. Now that I'm looking for that these may be just the ticket. I've got a box with at least a dozen of them.

The brown craw bandit is a very hard color to beat
