Just wondering how the shipping times have been and which method of shipping would be fastest. I seem to recall that EMS was having delays and FedEx was quicker, can anybody corroborate?

Not Ebay, but I placed an online order last month with a Japanese tackle shop and they ended up canceling the order because they said they cannot ship airmail or EMS to the U.S. right now due to Covid restrictions. 

FedEx is quicker in my experience.

 

Asian Portal Fishing shipped my JDM Luvias reels via FedEx and it took 4 business days after I received initial email notification of the shipment.

 

This was back in late July.

I received my JDM Shimano reels w/n 3-4 days, and that's coming from Japan! OTOH, I had a package coming from the same zip code that took over a week. Go figure.

 

The bottom line (no pun): Japanese delivery system is much more effective than here in US.
