Thank you for your post. Unfortunately I don’t have the pertinent pic to verify that. OTOH, the color of the box is close to silver than what you posted which is more of dark charcoal gray. Does that mean the one I’m looking at might be an older version of the bantam?

Sorry for reviving the old thread. There’s a guy selling his Bantam, but has no idea if it’s USDM or JDM. The box has MGLXG, 03849, and 5RL106000 printed on it. Everything else is written in Japanese so I’m clueless. Any clue as to what this is? TIA as usual.

Where do you place the bobber stopper - just over the hook or one/two ft away from the hook?

Do you think that there’s a true separation between the senko and the weight when they hit the water? IOW, are you convinced that your rig is working as a free rig should?

Another free rig Q: I’ve noticed that certain baits such as plastic worms, for example, are not “free rig friendly.” Once the weight hits the water the idea is to have your bait being separated from the weight to do its job, but apparently not all of them do as some tend to stick together ruining its intended purpose. How do you prevent that from happening, and what's the most effective bait(s) for free rig so that the bait is always free and does what it is supposed to do rather than acting like a generic Texas rig instead? TIA!

I’m a newbie when it comes GLoomis rods. My question is what applications do you use NRX+ 843MBR rod for? Is it strictly for, say, topwater fishing and what do you folks mean by it being versatile? Apparently it’s not made for Texas rig/jig fishing which is done by JWR series, no? TIA

Still happy with your Megabass Braillist? I’ve been contemplating of getting one, but I’ve noticed that it has become somewhat “polarized” lately. Based on customer feedbacks, there are some happy customers as well as people with nightmare stories. Is it still a solid dependable rod to have for jig fishing or should I look elsewhere? Perhaps I’ve been drinking too much tacticalbassin Kool aid because Matt Allen sounded very convincing

How many wraps do you recommend?

Sorry to revive the dead thread, but I’m experiencing backlash from time to time when my Alberto knot does not go through the guides as it should. I always do seven wraps up and seven back - is that too much? If I do double Uni knots instead, what would be the ideal wraps? Thank you in advance!
