  1. Forget the O ring, and get the Wacky Saddle instead. I've caught over twenty bass, and the saddle/worm is still fully intact. Every now and then, I'd patch up the worm with Mend-it, but that's about it. A small price to pay AFAIC. https://frenzybaits.com/perfect-wacky-orings-wacky-saddles/
  2. Sounds good, sir. How long have you had it, if I may ask?
  3. Like I said.....
  4. I'd like to buy good dependable scale that's accurate(!), and lasts awhile - a good 3-4 years at least. My budget is around $100 so what would you recommend? I don't want to buy some cheap garbage that tells a different story either. I'm likely going back to church in due time, and I don't want to "lie" anymore. lol
  5. Great! How are you using it, though?
  6. If so, how are you using it? I ran into a guy at a local lake, and he was catching bass with an archaic Creme worm in, uh, earth worm (color name?) color. Heck, I haven't seen that bait since the 70's, and I had no idea they were still in business. I was amazed at the fact that the young man (31) knew what it was, and the bait was still effective after all these years. He was using a six inch worm with no weight which produced nice results.
  7. https://www.amazon.com/Costa-Del-Mar-Rectangular-Sunglasses/dp/B087TY7ZYP Is this it? Why green mirror over, say, copper silver or blue? Better UV protection?
  8. Which sunglasses do you suggest for - of course - fishing? I'm looking at Kastking brand @$26.99 which sounds more than reasonable for protecting my eyes and other good stuff. What's your favorite?
  9. 1) Strike King Cut-R 7 in swimming worm with 1/4 tungsten weight 2) Warning shot - either chartreuse or pumpkin depends on the water clarity 3) Tidal Blue/Green Pumpkin Riot Baton weightless wacky worm 4) Riot Little Fuzzy weightless
  10. 1/0 been working out for me.
  11. I'm nobody, but this is my favorite, and I don't think there is anything better. Typically, I don't care for weed guard as it's never strong enough to do its putative job, except this model. It's a great hook too - once it's hooked, it's hooked as I rarely miss fish. YB(bass)MV Gamakatsu Wide Gap Finesse Hook Weedless
  12. I think you're in the wrong pond.
  13. Glad to hear it's working out for you. If you haven't already, I'd suggest using a wacky saddle which will prolong the life of worm. https://frenzybaits.com/store/Wacky-Saddle-Refill-25-Pack-c20420016 If you're using a regular size worm, get the large size. You can slide the worm right through the loops w/o using any special tools. No need to spend any X-tra money since we're spending enough on tackle already. lol
  14. Do you use ML or M power rod?
  15. Other than as a trailer, how do you pros use it - do you drag it across the bottom or swim it? I'm not sure if ML power spinning rod would be sufficient if I'm going to rig it Texas style using a 1/4 bullet wt. Anyone tried it - and had success - with a weighted hook?
  16. What size jig is your preference? Have you tried any of their spinnerbaits? If so, what's your favorite?
  17. For a drop shot, do you use Medium or ML rod? And is 8 -10 lb leader suitable for that rig?
  18. What weight, line, and size hook do you use?
  19. I guess my post will reveal how wacky I'm, but here goes. I'd typically cast it out to Miami - I'm in MD so that's a mighty long cast - , and sometimes when I'm in the mood I'd count to 10 or however long it takes to hit the bottom then I'll "whack" the hell out of the bait. Then I pause and repeat. At times, I will whack it even before it hits the bottom. I don't let fish tell me what they want. I do what I do when I feel like it, and it works sometimes. I don't usually get bit on the initial fall, but after beating the hell out of the bait, fish will -sometimes - take the bait. I rarely do dead sticking unless I'm fishing in winter months. It may sound "wacky", - my fishing partner thinks I'm a nutcase - but, hey, I've been catching some nice sized bass so who's complaining. The proof is in the pudding.
  20. It's showing on my screen. Odd.
  21. Indeed. I also threw a Strike King Rage Cut-R Hard Candy 7", and she apparently liked my offering. Even caught a catfish on a swimming worm which is a bit unusual as I've never experienced that before.
  22. Thank you, sir! I used a med sized Baby one minus, and she didn't mess around.
  23. Tidal Blue. Check here for additional info; https://www.riotbaits.com/product/baton/
