Avoided the skunk!

Man, what a tough day! I started fishing at 7:00 and up until 2:00, I was batting ofer. I had a strike on a spinnerbait early but it didn’t hook up, and I had two on a WR that were weak bites. But I kept at it. Last day of a min-vacation until I take a week off in November for the rut, so I wasn’t quitting.

Around 2:00 I swapped sides of the pond and worked my way back towards my take-out point. I was drifting and casting a WR when finally the line took off. Not a big ol’ gal, but I’m glad I caught it!

After I got on shore, I walked the bank for 5 minutes and caught two dinks. So all-in-all, a good day!
