Shoot, I keep guns tucked away in all parts of the house so no matter where I'm at in the house, a weapon is only a few steps.

Darn tootin’. I have a .380 in the bedside table, a .45 ACP in my dresser, a 9 mm in the kitchen cabinet and if the SHTF, a Springfield SOCOM 7.62 mm with several loaded magazines in the other bedroom. All the other guns are in the safe.

The Kahr 9 mm is my go-to CCW, although I will take the .S&W 380 ACP at times if I’m dressed lightly and my Firestar .45 ACP if I’m wearing a jacket or coat.

I own a number of firearms but I keep all of them in the safe. I’m more worried about someone breaking in while I’m gone and stealing them than I am about a home invasion. My firearms are some of the most valuable and expensive items I own. I’ve got an expanded insurance policy on them too.  If I ever decide to keep one in a more accessible location for home defense, it’s not going to be a valuable one.

Statistics have shown that you are much more likely to be robbed during the middle of the day when no one is at home than at night when you’re sleeping.
