Nice fish! It's funny how you are about to pack it in and you catch a fish and it makes you throw 100 more casts!

My PB bucketmouth came on a stupid cold day, Louisiana had ice on the ground, teens for temperatures, decided screw it, going anyway, didn't catch a bloody thing all morning, give myself the old "last cast" pep talk and hang up in the weeds, start cursing and grumbling because I didn't want to lose another jig, finally get it back in and start cussing my luck pulling all the salad off and what to my astonished eyes did appear but the biggest bucketmouth I ever did see lol...you bet your backside I stayed and fished the rest of the day.

Not my PB. Maybe 2.5 lbs? But I was fishing last Saturday and while bringing the boat towards the take-out point I passed a spot with overhanging limbs touching the water and I picked up my St. Croix MLXF and said (to myself lol) “I’m going to catch a bass right now!” I cast a weightless Zoom Trick and Bam! Caught that bass!

I said that ten more times. Didn’t work! ?

Been there done that! I was fishing at Lime lake in NY when I was a kid, first cast with a jointed Pikie Creek chub hauled in a load of weeds and was shaking my line on the surface of the water about 10ft out and a very large musky nailed it! I lost that fish right at the shore, I had no net. To me that incident epitomizes the excitement of fishing! I fished all weekend without another bite... But, I knew something could happen on ANY cast!

Congratulations nice fish ? Tight lines sir..
