SSR Guides

Featured Replies

Anyone used the SSR guides from Mudhole? Price is certainly right, but curious if anyone has experience with them. Considering them on casting rods, a MH for Trigs and a Heavy for jigs.

Fuji Alconite are my go to. Lots of frame and size choices, undoubted quality and bang for the buck prices. I’m familiar and know what I’m getting.

That's what original plan was, but unfortunately, Fuji Alconite are discontinued. I couldn't find enough in the sizes I needed so I'm exploring new options.

The black painted frame is ending not Alconite or K frame.

Oh, then maybe I misunderstood what I was told. I'll have to go back and look. Was hoping for black frames though.

Black and polished silver are being discontinued in Alconite.  They are still available through some dealers, but Mudhole chose to not replenish their stocks.  I just got an order with some black alconites from another dealer that was dropshipped from Angler's Resource.

After looking around again, I'm sure I could piece enough parts out, but at this point I would rather just move along to something that's going to be available in the long term.
