Are there any decent mapping apps out there? I know of Navionics but was wondering if there’s any free apps out there for saving pins and seeing contours and such.

    Nothing free. I used I-Boatings app on my tablet last year, but they upped the yearly subscription fee so I'll be going with Navonics this year.

     

    You might keep the maps after your subscription expires, but the GPS tracking becomes 'wonky', and they bug you incessantly to buy the subscription again.
