What techniques/lures are you using for this reel? 

 

I was thinking Texas Rigs, Jigs, Bull Shads, 1/2oz Buzzbaits and 1/2oz Jighead Swimbaits. 

All that and anything else in my bag.

I have my Curado K HG paired with a 6'9" MH-XF rod for texas rigs, jigs, chatterbaits, etc. 

 

Had for a year and going strong. Just gave her a cleaning only because I was bored. Solid reel. 

You can literally use it for ANYTHING. In fact, there isn't really a thing you couldn't use it for outside of 1/16 oz and down. Even then, with the right line, it might work.

I think you can use that reel for just about whatever you want.  I use mine for my general purpose set up when I am on my kayak. 

Mine is on my frog rod.

Yep I have the 8.5:1 for frogs. 

 

Just having a hard time finding ideal situations for the 7.4:1.
