How hard to setup? And does Humminbird offer a in hull transducer for their side imaging capabilities?

Thanks!

No, unless something new was introduced at ICAST. The SI transducer has to be on the outside of the hull located somewhere close to the middle of the transom. I know a couple guys who have them mounted on their jackplates.

its a real easy install. i am however second guessing where i installed my transducer.

Super easy makes sure you have a cable snake for running wires. Took me about 2 hours total. First time I mounted the transducer to high and at high speed it would blank out. Make sure you get it as low as possible.  I also mounted the the transducer mounting piece upside down so it would not kick up at full speed.

Humminbird has always had a thru hull transducer. It must be drilled thru the hull. The SI beam can shoot thru hull, but it will greatly lower sensitivity and range.
