Chenille or foam to hold scent on flipping jig

Featured Replies

I thought I had heard someone talk about an old jig that had something under the skirt to hold scent.  I am wondering if anyone has an idea of how to do something like that and still be able to get a trailer on the jig also?

I just put the scent on the trailer.

Seems to work OK.

I chased this idea, couldn’t find anything that worked for jigs. Like @A-Jay says put it on a trailer, it seems ok.

I’m trying to load it in a tube this year and will give it a go.

Consider sliding a section of a scent soaked foam ear plug into that tube prior to aquatic deployment.

Oh man A-Jay, that’s sexy. I was going for rated “R” but that just pushed it right up to the upper channels of the cable box. ?

Been there, done that, don't plan on going back!

Chenille or foam used in fly tying, when ya making a shirt add one or the other.
