They're fairly new - occupy a part of a building about a stone's throw from my parent's house...30 minutes from my place.

I'm signed up with them and I like the reports they've put out about my lakes.

Cool, found it my Google news feed.

Did you pay for the premium service?

Na - just the basic service

Hmm... Just looked up a local lake and I don't think I agree with it's recommendations.

It's all dependent on what information the locals give. Omnia is based here in MN, and doesn't have staff to travel around fishing everywhere.

So...make an account and start submitting.

And give up my secrets?! ?

Do you get goodies for submitting?

Not that I know of - other than the good feeling you get from helping others.

I don't do tournaments - so I'll probably be sharing anything I can think of.

I've found that fishing for small sums of cash is quite a joy for me, lol. I don't have the skills or stones for high roller tournaments, but $50 buy in for a Monday evening, oh yeah.

One of the things I like is that Seth Feider, who fishes Minnetonka a lot when he's not on the road, shares his tips and trick for the lake.

Given the home situation - scheduling to fish a tournament, even a short 1/2 day one, is almost impossible for me.

I think the plan is you get store credit when you submit reports.

I think there’s a video on their site explaining it.

they ship so fast it’s surprising. Great store

I like this idea as a basic learning tool for new anglers, many of us had someone with many years of experience to show us how to fish a given body of water, this attempts to do the same for inexperienced anglers without the benefit of a mentor, now I know that just getting out and fishing a lot of these places, hanging out around the launches and or bait shop will put you in touch with folks who can and often will take you under their wing and learn you a thing or ten, but for someone too timid to try that, one could hit the website, obtain a bit of gear off the list of stuff they recommend, and have enough confidence to actually go wet a line, which is a fantastic thing in my opinion.

I enjoy low cost competitive events, five bucks, a beer, just any old thing to compete over adds a certain dynamic that I've never found produced any other way, it doesn't have to be winning an oversized check for a seven figure sum to make it exciting and feel like an accomplishment
